Galgo rescue spain triP

We are headed to Spain!

On April 29th, Sterling (@the_original_trapking) and I are headed to Spain to rescue 32 Galgo dogs(Spain’s version of the Greyhound) from the torture and suffering that they face during their notorious hunting season and transport them to the U.S.

We are accomplishing this with the help of our partnerships with @daphnelegacytour, @protectora_santuario_scooby,
@fundacionbenjaminmehnert, @americangreys and @saveagalgo_usa.

Background on Galgo Torture

Every year, during Spain’s hunting season, around 60,000 Galgo dogs are tortured, killed, and starved to death. These Galgos are used to race and hunt. The dogs that are considered no longer useful, are either abandoned or left to die horrible deaths. Commonly, they are hung by their necks until they slowly pass away.

What Can You Do?

Donate! We are raising money for the many expenditures that we require for this trip:

  • Hotels/Lodging

  • Flights for the dogs

  • Food for the dogs

  • Galgo doggy specific jackets being personally designed by the team at Daphne Legacy Tour.

Daphne Legacy Tour hard to work on designing Galgo dog jackets!

Foster!

When we bring these adorable Galgo’s back to the U.S., we are looking for fosters to take them in.
